Last Year’s Oscar Winners Are Coming Back to Present at the 98th Academy Awards

There’s something deeply satisfying about a victory lap done right. The 98th Academy Awards has announced that Adrien Brody, Kieran Culkin, Mikey Madison, and Zoe Saldaña will return to the Oscars stage on March 15 — not to compete, but to preside. All four are returning champions, each having taken home a statuette at last year’s ceremony in their respective acting categories. As a production choice, it’s elegant: who better to hand out Hollywood’s highest honors than those who know exactly what it feels like to receive one?

The evening, hosted by Conan O’Brien, promises to be one of the more anticipated ceremonies in recent memory. It airs live on ABC and streams on Hulu beginning at 7 p.m. ET, with the red carpet getting underway at 6:30. The show broadcasts to more than 200 territories worldwide from its home at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

Executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan are keeping the rest of the presenter lineup close to the chest for now, with additional talent announcements expected in the coming weeks. But as opening moves go, this one sets a confident tone — glamorous, nostalgic, and just a little self-aware.
